I am sitting here about to board my plane to Singapore, trying to come to terms with leaving this spectacular country of New Zealand. It has been a truly sensational season of WE WILL ROCK YOU here. The Kiwis have welcomed us so warmly, I feel overwhelmed with their generosity and kindness. Even at the airport, the security could not do enough to make the process an enjoyable experience, whereas in the US, the TSA treat you like cattle scum. New Zealand has taught the world how to do so many things, and to show the world how to be human again is probably the next lesson we must learn.
The season finished last night with a capacity crowd that would not let us go. It was quite an emotional show as it meant not only goodbye to Auckland, but to some cast members who only signed up for the Kiwi season. Being on tour is like being with a family, and saying goodbye to new friends is never easy. I will feel their absence heavily and will never forget this wonderful time together. I wish them all the best for the future.
I saw Justin Timberlake in concert in Auckland last Monday and am in awe of his incredible talent. The guy is unstoppable. Such an awesome show, and so impressed with his musicianship, and so jealous of his budget!! Worth every cent I paid for the ticket.
I am flying to Singapore today to launch the WE WILL ROCK YOU season here in 2008, then to Hong Kong to do the same there. Then I am visiting Sydney to see the folks for a couple of days before finally heading back to New York, via Auckland and Los Angeles. I always wanted to fly. Be careful for what you wish for…
Always love,

- I attribute my success to three elements: hard work, passion and a little bit of luck. When I first heard about Rockstar INXS, a new reality show on CBS, I decided to audition. After years of trying to make it as solo artist, I thought this opportunity might provide my big break. Well, I didn’t win the competition to be the singer for INXS…I did one better and got my very own deal with Universal Classics. Born in the Philippines and raised in Sydney, Australia, I began playing the piano at age seven, but was quickly discouraged by my teacher, who informed me that without practice, I would never become a virtuoso. However, a chance meeting with a jazz musician opened up a world of possibilities! I was finally able to play the music I wanted, in the style I chose. I even wrote my own songs and played piano without having to perfect my Mozart! Who cares if I was never going to be a concert pianist? Stick that up your metronome, I was going to be a ROCKSTAR! .............................................................................. for more about me please visit my official site mig-music.com
